I’m sure you’ve heard it before, “be grateful and you’ll be happy”. Although it’s true that gratitude will put us in a much better mood, it doesn’t always come naturally; it’s something we have to build a habit of.

It’s easiest to start with big blessings, and down the line applying gratitude to events as they happen throughout the day. We can do this by writing down what we are grateful for every day.

However, writing a gratitude list isn’t enough, we have to actually feel grateful for whatever it is we are blessed to have. Over time, as we learn to become more aware of and focus on our blessings, we will feel more content.
