For many, talking to strangers isn’t something we seek out. It gives us anxiety. What if they’re rude? What if they judge us? What are we going to talk about? While this anxiety is understandable, studies have shown the outcomes of these interactions tend to be positive and produce mutual well-being. If you can push past any initial discomfort, it’s likely to be worthwhile. It’s at least worth trying a few times to see (not to mention anxiety will decrease as you practice).
