Thinking about how tedious a task may be is never a good idea. It will only make you feel tired and drained before even starting. Tell yourself that you will only do the task for five minutes and you’ll find yourself working on it longer than that.
You can also try telling someone about what you need to get done so that they can hold you accountable. If they have something they need to get done as well, you can both hold each other accountable and even work at the same time to help each other stay focused.
