Believing that we don’t deserve good can really hold us back. It’s a sort of self-sabotage when we don’t allow ourselves to keep or attain good things. Some of us may even sabotage relationships believing that we don’t deserve them.
The key to overcoming this is understanding what resulted in it. It can be a result of trauma or being taught as a child that taking care of ourselves and wanting good things is selfish. Explore why and try to work through it on our own or with a therapist.
